Staff Training Seminars

As many CPA firms are planning for the future effects of the current economic downturn, cost control is a priority. As a result, CPE budgets are often on the top of the list for reconsideration. We have dedicated most of the last 30 years to helping CPA firms and groups of firms obtain high-quality, cost-efficient, live accounting and auditing training. We can help your firm, or a group of firms in your city or region, continue to provide the best accounting and auditing training for your staff and management personnel.

The syllabus for each of these 3-day staff training seminars is linked below. All have been updated to include applicable new professional standards. We are also developing 2-hour and 4-hour modules using the subject materials from staff training seminars. Firms can “mix and match” subjects from any of the staff training seminars for one, two or three-day tailored presentations. Materials for all our seminars are sent in PDF files for reproduction by the sponsoring firm or group. All our seminars are priced on a daily, fixed-fee basis for 15 or less participants: $2,500 for one day (includes travel expenses) and $2,000 for each consecutive day (also includes expenses). The daily fee for participants in excess of 15 is $50 per day. These staff training seminars and the “mix and match” seminars are available for presentation now.

2010 Accounting and Auditing Update—this seminar is written by Patricia Williams. Formerly the director of direct-study courses for the AICPA, she has written accounting and auditing update seminars and other self-study materials for both the AICPA and PPC. She also has recently written Revenue Recognition in Today’s Business Climate and Navigating the New FASB Codification for the AICPA. She currently writes chapters of the AICPA’s CPE Direct. Small Audits Made Easy and Profitable—this one-day seminar will focus on the concepts and practice aids in our Small Audits Handbook and Small Audits Documentation Manual. While a sponsoring firm is not required to purchase the Manual, benefits of this seminar can be greatly enhanced by the purchase and use of the Manual when it becomes available in the fall of 2010.   Available now--download syllabus
